LIVE IN GROUPS

Community Groups are made up of adults who gather regularly to discuss God’s word, pray together, care for one another, and pursue growth in Christ. Each Group has a trained leader and host, and most Groups meet for about two hours.

Groups meet on various nights of the week in homes throughout the Valley or at a Christ Church campus.

Groups are a high priority at Christ Church because we believe life transformation happens in gospel community. In Groups, people are known, loved, cared for, and encouraged as they follow Jesus together.

Your first step is to attend Consider. At Consider, you’ll learn more about Christ Church, our rhythms of life, and how to take your next step toward a Group.

Groups are for adults only, with exceptions for nursing newborns up to six months. Each family is responsible for arranging childcare. Some families choose to share a sitter or swap childcare with another family whose Group meets on a different night.

Groups meet during the fall and spring seasons. At the end of each season, you’ll have the option to continue in your Group, take a break, or talk with your congregation’s team about another next step.

Weekly meetings help Groups build and sustain the relational consistency needed for meaningful community. Being known, loved, and cared for takes regular and intentional time together.

Groups discuss the biblical passage preached during the previous weekend’s sermon. Each week, you’ll spend time in God’s word with your Group and consider how the passage applies to everyday life.

Yes, during Students which meets one night a week. These groups are not listed alongside our adult groups, but you can get the information you need by contacting the Students leader at your congregation.

There is no financial cost to join a Group. The cost is commitment: regularly gathering, preparing, praying, caring for others, and pursuing growth in Christ together.
