WHO WE ARE

OUR MISSION

We exist to glorify God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great commandment.

Our mission is unashamedly unoriginal. That’s because it’s not ours to come up with. Jesus laid out the mission for his church some 2,000 years ago—and we’re sticking to it.

The Great Commission

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
—Matthew 28:19–2

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.—Matthew 22:37–40

The Great Commandment

OUR BELIEFS

One of the most important things about who we are as a church is our doctrine. God has spoken through the inspired Scriptures—so we read, we study, we teach, we believe, and we seek to live by all that he has revealed.

OUR STORY

On December 2, 2012, Pastor Adam Bailie launched Harvest Bible Chapel Chandler with a core group. In April 2017, we settled into our new facility in Gilbert Town Square and later renamed the church to Christ Church. In 2018, we became one church in multiple locations by adding Christ Church Peoria. In December 2023, we launched our third location, Christ Church Central Phoenix. Our hearts are filled with gratitude as God continues to move in our church family for his glory.

OUR LEADERSHIP

Our pastors oversee the doctrine, direction, and discipleship of Christ Church. While each pastor attends and gives unique shepherding care to his local congregation, the pastoral team collectively leads and gives oversight to Christ Church as a whole.

OUR LOCATIONS

Christ Church is a multi-congregational church with locations throughout the Valley. At all locations you’ll find on-site, live preaching and worship, as well as full programming for your children.

OUR SYMBOL

Our symbol is called the Chi Rho. The “X” (chi) and “P” (rho) in our symbol are the first two Greek letters in the name Christ. Together they form one of the earliest symbols for Christ and his followers. The Chi Rho can be found in the catacombs in Rome where Christians worshipped during times of severe persecution.

We’ve chosen this symbol as our own because we value the inseparable link we have with the historic church through the gospel of grace that was “once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3). At Christ Church, we fly one flag—Christ crucified. He’s the one we worship. He’s the one we preach. He’s the one we follow.

OUR FOUR PILLARS

We’re unwavering in our commitment to these four pillars. They give shape and substance to everything we do.

UNAPOLOGETIC PREACHING

Proclaiming the authority of God’s word
without apology (2 Timothy 4:2)

UNCEASING PRAYER

Believing firmly in the power of prayer
(Ephesians 6:18)

UNAFRAID WITNESS

Sharing the good news of Jesus with boldness (Ephesians 6:19–20)

   UNASHAMED WORSHIP

Lifting high the name of Jesus through worship (John 4:24)
