Growing up, I had the privilege of being raised by parents who prioritized service, whether it be at home, in Nicaragua, Mexico, or Costa Rica. Those experiences impacted me. When I began to make plans or think about the future, I try to remember to ask the Lord to open or close doors according to his will for my life.

We were invited last year to assist this agency in launching a business-as-missions initiative that would generate funds locally to sustain and support more missionaries to be trained and sent.

Ben Fortney had been living in mainland Honduras since 2015, initially serving in a bilingual school at an orphanage. There he met his wife, Nely. He planted a church on the mainland with his friend Rene, but God started stirring him for a change.
